MAWATHEEQ

STUD FEE 2012: £5,000 (1st Jan SLF)
NEW FOR 2011
“ ...one of the best yearlings I have ever seen. He made steady progress to the top level and was unlucky not to win the Champion Stakes Gr1. He should appeal to breeders being a strong sort by Danzig from an illustrious female line.”
Trainer Marcus Tregoning

BRILLIANTLY BRED GROUP WINNING SON OF DANZIG

MAWATHEEQ was a very high class racehorse whose career was compromised by an injury he received as a yearling in America. As a result he did not make his debut until the summer of his three year old career but quickly made up the lost time by winning 4 races, two of them over a mile. We were very hopeful that he was going to make up into a top class older horse this year, but unfortunately a recurrence of his old injury put paid to that and Sheikh Hamdan has now taken the decision to retire him to stud. At his best MAWATHEEQ was a very high class horse indeed and that class, together with his outstanding looks and top class international pedigree, will give him every chance to succeed in his new career at stud.”
