The 2-year-old colt son of Muhtathir won for the second time of his career in impressive fashion. On the same course and distance of his debut, QIZWEEN lands the Prix des Minimes over a mile on Saturday evening at Toulouse. He will now be rested over the winter before having a go at the French Classics next year.
Co-bred by Eric Puerari and Oceanic Bloodstock, QIZWEEN is the fourth foal of his winning mare Luna Negra (Kaldoun).
QIZWEEN went through the ring twice, as a yearling at Deauville in October where he was sold for € 26,000 to The Channel Consigment and a couple of months later at Saint Cloud for the Breeze Up. He was then bought for € 33,000 by Mandore International Agency’s Nicolas de Watrigant to be trained by his brother Damien, who is now aiming at the Classic trail with his promising juvenile.
QIZWEEN had been awarded a JdG Rising Star (French equivalent to the TDN Rising Star) by the French publication on his debut run, earlier this Autumn.
